GRAMMAR LESSON NEEDED. . .
Always the teacher, even on vacation, I feel it’s necessary that I review a grammar lesson that you were supposed to learn back in the 3rd grade. But Mrs. Rogoff, why are you wasting your time and ours on this?????? It’s summer, Mrs. Rogoff. Get over it, Mrs. Rogoff. I didn’t listen to you in class, so why do you think I’m going to care now, Mrs. Rogoff?????
The short and simple of it is, MOST OF YOU wrote this incorrectly on your comment slips. AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR and YOU’RE. Actually there are a few of you, and I mean a very few of you, that understand this rule, but know that your fellow alums do NOT.
YOU’RE, the contraction, really means YOU ARE. An example from your slips that is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. . .
Your so kewl. (Notice 2 errors in a 3 word sentence!!!!)
YIKES! So simple. . .and so many times WRONG!
